Whoever happen to come here on the right time and season, there should be plenty of flowers to look around. Take an early bus and stop by the front of Busan Museum of Contemporary Art (부산현대미술관) and walk yourself to the oppposite. Stroll around the huge park as you like, plus the park is free!
Want to try something different from Isaac Toast? This is it!
I didn't take more than one photo, since we're cold and hungry but trust me, they are really good. The owner is very kind and friendly too!
Mozzarella Cheese Hotdog (모짜렐라 치즈 핫도그) 3,500 won ($2.94)
Hashbrown Toast (해쉬 브라운 토스트) 2,500 won ($2.10)
Come for the interior design, stay for the coffee.
The cafe design looks so simple and normal, yet so extraordinary in its own way.
Aside from the admirably decorated space itself, they also serve decent coffee and cookies! This is one chic cafe you will want to visit.
I think this place is... probably useful if you are into or can read Korean book?
Took two buses down from MMML but not much for me to do here so we just took a stroll and head to markets on the opposite side of road to have some light snacks before taking another bus nearby to the next destination.
This is a great place with many different photo opportunities. From top of the stairs with the Busan skyline and port view, and wall sculptures all along the way to the bottom of the stairs.
Tips: To ease your journey, take a bus that stops on top of the stairs.
If you come here with kids or you don't want to walk all the steps, there is an monorail / elevator right by the side of the stairs, that will actually stops a few times along the way and is free for everyone to ride.
The eomuk here smells pretty nice. I've not tried, maybe you can ;)
For your information, if you want to plan your rest here, this cafe is located at the very top of the stairs. Or else, there are also a few other new cafes that have popped up recently along the stair way where you can now make your stops there too.
Green Grape Ade (청포도 에이드) 3,500 won ($2.94)
Choco Macchiato (초코 마끼아또) 3,500 won ($2.94), not in photo
The best thing about this raw crab meal is the plain white rice.
I've heard and read a lot of good things about Raw Crab / Ganjang Gejang (간장게장). Though I didn't have high hope that it will be good, I didn't think it will be bad either.
I'm also somewhat OK with raw food, so I gave it a try.
The rice with its condiments and plain water taste really nice. Nothing else. 🙃
Don't get me wrong. We ordered the Half & Half Small Set (반반세트). It is a mixed of soy sauce marinate and gochujang marinate cold crabs, and they aren't exactly bad, bad. It was edible but personally, I'd not recommend it.
Actually, you can picture how it taste like in your mind without trying one. If you can accept it in your mind, and you enjoy imagining it, then by all means go for it.
Else, try the nearby popular Yukjeon Wheat Noodles / Milmyeon (육전밀면). Certainly more affordable too.
Come here for the mini butter croissants (버터 크루아상).
Generous amount of chocolate shavings on top of their drinks definitely look nice but they all tasted rather mediocre.
Not the mini butter croissants (버터 크루아상) though!
I've had it the last time I was here, and they were absolutely delightful.
Be early before the mini butter croissants sell out.
They are located at the top floor of the Cont Hotel (콘트호텔), which require visitors to take the lift up to the 8th floor. And as the shop name suggests, they do have rooftop seatings available.
